About Us
The firm has been here since 1937, and the current partners have over 40 years legal experience between them. And all of our lawyers specialise in their area of law. This means that you can be sure that whatever job you entrust to us, you can rely on us to have the knowledge and experience to carry it through efficiently and well.
We want our clients to feel that they have a good service at a fair price. If you instruct us then you will find that we do not overcharge or slip in unexpected or hidden costs. We do not ever try to be the cheapest – if that is what you are looking for then this is the wrong site for you – but our fees are always competitive and reasonable. In some areas we can offer a fixed fee that we quote at the beginning. This would be for buying or selling a property, making a will or power of attorney, getting a divorce, or making a possession claim for a rented property. If we cannot offer a fixed quote then we explain exactly how we will calculate our charges, and we will agree with you how often we will update you on your legal costs. We will also offer a fixed fee first meeting. This will allow you to get a feel for the lawyer who would be handling your case. The meeting allows you to explain the problem or issue, and what it is that you want to achieve. When we understand this we can explain how we can use the law to help you, and what the risks and costs involved would be.
Whoever it is who helps you here, you are going to get a professional and personal service from us. There will be one lawyer who you will deal with from the beginning to the end. You can call or email them and get an answer to whatever query you have. We have been providing services in this way for years. We have clients who first came to see Mr Frisby after the war, and whose grandchildren we are still helping today. Most of our work comes from recommendations and word of mouth.
If you would like to speak to one of our expert lawyers then call or email or complete the enquiry form. We will generally be able to speak to you for long enough for you to be able to decide if we are the right people to help. If we are then we can arrange to meet or take things further. If you feel that we are not, then nothing lost.
